Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have the honor of working with some of the most amazing students. The different items in this project will help build positive school spirit and will also help uplift school culture. When students feel a part of something they feel included. We have started doing a monthly recognition of celebrating the different cultures here on campus. We have our Leadership students put together a back drop that will help honor these cultures and it is kept in our cafeteria for ALL students to see and also take pictures using the backdrop.

Putting these backdrops together has allowed us and taught us all to be more inclusive with other cultures and other people.

Something as simple as putting a fun and festive backdrop with balloons and posters helps to bring positive school culture and helps include all students here on campus. The cafeteria is a small hanging spot that all students go into for their breakfast and lunch so it is the perfect place to have this festive backdrop.
