My Project
Some of my students have parents that work up to 16 hours a day. Even in the 4th and 5th grade, they are responsible for getting themselves up and ready for school daily. Sometimes our students need a bit of guidance in keeping their hygiene up to snuff. This project would allow me to give me students hygiene lessons. I can model how to properly brush their teeth, offer them hygiene kits to use at home or in school. Deodorant wipes can be used after physical education or in the event a student wasn't able to shower before school. When children feel clean and comfortable, they are more readily willing to learn. When students feel uncomfortable and cognizant of the fact that their hygiene may be compromised, it creates an uncomfortable and embarrassing situation for them.
