Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
For this project, I am hoping to refresh the flexible seating options in my classroom. Flexible seating is something I have used in my classroom in recent years that is often a favored feature for students. Flexible seating gives students the chance to think about themselves as learners. It provides a real-time instance to think about appropriate choices and what they need to work their best.
Flexible seating allows students to give themselves space and thinking time when needed.
Flexible seating in the classroom also supports students while working independently, but also in groups. I enjoy having these seating options in my classroom as they provide a cozy, safe space for students, as well as choice.
