Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Over half of my students come from low income families. My goal as a Title One teacher is to provide enriching learning experiences for every child. Teaching over seven hundred students can become challenging at times. Right now, we have enough robots for students to work in groups of two or three.

My goal is to having enough robots so that each student will have a chance to work with their own when they come to STEM class.

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. These particular robots are exciting because they are able to be coded with or without screens! This particular concept makes it great for all of the grades I currently teach, and the special education classes.

This new generation of children is immersed in technology and while I believe it is an important skill, I would like them to learn to use it in a healthy and proactive way.
