Help me give my students flexible seating! It has been proven that students are better able to learn when given the freedom to choose where they sit to do their learning!
My 3rd graders come to school every morning with smiles on their faces; they love coming to school. My students are coming from rural, low-income neighborhoods, and most of them are coming from very low-income homes.
My students are full of amazing potential; they are hard workers and they have so much love to give.
All they need is a little support! My passion, as a teacher, has always been to serve the kiddos who need my support the most, and I love being able to provide them with the tools they need to succeed!
My Project
I am requesting flexible seating options for the students in my classroom. Flexible seating gives my students a choice of where they would like to sit in the classroom, as opposed to being forced to sit at a desk all day. With this alternative, flexible seating, these students will be able to sit in their preferred learning spot.

My students will use the wobble chairs, wobble cushions, and lap desks to sit in their spot of choice in the classroom. Because they will not have desks or chairs, these alternative seating options will make their learning spot comfortable and conducive to learning. The ability to wobble the seat and cushions will also give students the ability to wiggle their body, without disrupting the rest of the students. This ability to wiggle will help students focus and learn. This flexible seating will be available to all of the students in my classroom and will improve focus and learning in my classroom!
