My Project
Sensory tools allow students to take charge of their learning and social-emotional needs work best for them. During small group work times, students can choose a sensory tool that can benefit their learning, their focus, and most of all their sensory needs in the classroom. Currently, my students are wanting to use flexible seating options, fidgets, felt strips, and bands when they are working at the table or in a variety of locations in our room. Making sure students are given the best tool that they are comfortable using is an essential component in motivating them and benefits their own individual needs. Sensory tools are intended to promote regulation, improve focus, and increase participation, therefore enabling your child to be available for learning! The key to a sensory-informed classroom is that it supports the various sensory needs of the students in the classroom in a way that is as natural as possible.
The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional sensory tool options to make more effective learning choices and promote regulation, improve focus, and increase participation.
These items will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to have sensory tools used at all periods of the day. The biggest factor it will help my students to relax, stay calm, and focus on a particular event or situation within the classroom. I fully believe these sensory tools will positively affect my student's work and demeanor and help us grow even more!
