My Students

We have an opportunity to explore light and color with a unique light box lab. The only problem is it does not come with the required power supply. Help us see the light!

My sixth graders are bright and inquisitive.

They come from a variety of backgrounds and socio-economic statuses. I have students whose parents are immigrants from Russia, India, and Mexico. I also have students whose families have lived in America for 5 or 6 generations. Some students are struggling readers while others are considered gifted and talented. The one thing they have in common, however, is their love of learning.

My Project

The 12V power source will be used to power a light box that can demonstrate to students how light moves, can be reflected, and is a blend of colors. The kit is a wonderful learning tool and will help them understand light and its properties through hands -on experience.

Students will excel in scientific fields if they are given the opportunity to explore the world around them.

They just need the chance to understand the principles of their world.
