This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work in a Title I school and most students do not have the means to purchase books for class. Having tangible books in my classroom helps eliminate the distraction of having to use digital texts in class. Working with students that have special needs, eliminating distractions in the classroom is the key to helping my students learn to their best abilities.
Help me feed my students hunger of reading with the novel Hunger Games.
We will be reading the Hunger Games next school year for our dystopian unit. Having these tangible books will help support my students greatly in class. Not only will it get rid the distraction of having to read the text online, but it also makes it easier for students to track what they are reading and find textual evidence to support their comprehension.
