My Project
My goal for this project is to be able to provide any and all of our students with the chance to have breakfast! A lot of the families we serve are low income and may also have food insecurities. Studies have shown that when a child regularly experiences hunger that it negatively affects nearly every aspect of their physical and mental function. Can you imagine trying to concentrate on class work while your stomach is growling? These students range from Pre-k to fourth grade! Their smiles are the best part of my days! We have students who arrive late daily and often miss being able to have breakfast. With this project we will be able to have a snack cabinet and provide any student with breakfast or a snack before getting their day started.
