Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Students are often hungry and not all parents are able to provide snacks. These snacks will help me give students snacks to fuel their bodies so they can focus on learning.

The fidget toys will provide them an opportunity to learn to self regulate when they feel stressed or upset.

Rather than acting out in a negative way, they will learn to give themselves a short “break” when needed. After they play with a sensory toy for a few minutes and feel better, they can return to their studies with a clear mind.

This development of self control and regulation is an essential life skill.
