My Students

I teach World History at a school in San Jose, CA. I have a great group of students this year who are excited to learn! They are motivated and putting in the work it takes to be successful in the class despite the distance learning environment we are all in.

I have 46 students who are thoughtful, dedicated and engaged in the course.

My students have impressed me with their ability to adjust to the distance learning environment and stay engaged. This makes me want to work even harder to ensure that they are not missing out on being in the classroom. There are so many technological resources that help engage students and I'm looking for some assistance to utilize these resources.

My Project

Our district adopted a new learning management system this year for students. We post lessons, activities and even conduct assessments through the learning management system.

The app for the new learning management system can be downloaded on the iPad which allows me to give more feedback in a timely manner which is needed more than ever now that students are learning from home.

Students will be getting more descriptive feedback about how they are advancing in the course and with the coursework because I will be able to write feedback directly onto their digital assignment. This will enable them to be more successful in the course!
