This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My project isn’t the most creative. I’m just here because many of my students ask for food daily.

For sure, they’ll learn better when they’re not hungry!

The school provides breakfast and lunch, but I soon realized that those might be the only meals some receive daily. I’ve been buying them snacks. I had a pizza party for them one day, but obviously, it’s not sustainable for me in the long term.

The other items are regular class supplies. When I arrived in the middle of the year, several items were not available.
