My Project

Journalism is back at our high school, and in just ten weeks, my students have already produced two full newspapers — capturing campus stories, student voices, and the heart of our school. Their energy is sky-high, but so are their appetites, especially when we meet right before lunch three times a week and at the end of the day once a week.

Snacks, drinks, and fidget tools will keep our student journalists focused and energized as they “feed the beast,” producing stories, photos, and online content for our school newspaper.

These materials will directly support 20 student journalists and 80 English Language Development students who are contributing content to both our print and social media platforms. When the newspapers are finished, all 1,216 students in our school will benefit by seeing their peers’ voices reflected in the stories. Your support keeps our newsroom fueled — body, mind, and spirit — so our students can keep creating, collaborating, and inspiring our school community.
