My Students

Our school is for residential and community students to help with behavioral, emotional, and social disorders. These disorders may sometimes cause the students to perceive situations differently and feel like they have been forgotten or discriminated against.

We have a wide range of ages and disabilities in our school, but we are all one community.

Our students need to feel wanted, and we try to make that happen at school. We are in a suburban setting near a larger city.

My Project

Our students would like to have Skinny Pop popcorn, Cool Ranch Doritos, Airheads, and cookies for snack time. Our students come to school ready to learn, but it is hard for them to concentrate when they are hungry.

With an earlier start time and various medicines that students take, they are not always hungry at mealtimes.

We try to keep snacks on hand for our students to meet their most basic needs. By having snacks on hand, we can make sure all of our students receive what they need from us at school.
