This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students

This school is a middle city school with students from many different economic and cultural backgrounds.
My students are asked to provide supplies that might be financially hard for them to get. Our school is a Title I school, and every donation goes a long way. Our students are driven to always do their best, but they struggle. They need financial and emotional support from their community to help them meet their true potential.
My Project
My students spend a very long day at school and work very hard. Many students do not enjoy spending time in the cafeteria during lunch and/or need that time for extra help. After school they come directly to my classroom so that can keep practicing their skills. By the time they get home it's 4:30 - 6 at night. This makes a LONG day. These students don't have the time or money to get food for the day.
I am asking for a variety of snacks, such as cookies, crackers, and Pop-Tarts, for my students so I can provide them with little bits of energy all day long.
No matter the time (before school, during or after) I always want to be able to give my hungry rock star students a little bit of energy.
