Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Gung Hay Fat Choy means Happy Lunar New Year! This is the year of the Dragon and it will be celebrated in our classroom as we do every year.

Lunar New Year is celebrated yearly at our school because we have many students who are of Asian descent.

We celebrate and value all cultures and a highlight is the Lunar New Year! We will use the tassels to put on the lanterns that we will hang around the school. The paper bags will be used to put the fortune cookies, lucky candy and fortune cards we have. We will use the jews as embellishments on the oil pastel dragon faces to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

I will buy noodles that we can share and will put them in the plastic containers for the students to take home so they can try it with their parents.
