Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are low income but high learners! It is up to me--and the community--to do all we can to boost their learning experience!
Over half my class are English Language Learners! Very often it is difficult for them to comprehend new vocabulary because they do not have a picture to illustrate the new word! In addition, pictures of our special learning times together will be a valuable reminder of their year in Kindergarten and the learning they experience!
Access to a color printer and the necessary ink cartridges will provide an opportunity to utilize resources that my little scholars do not have outside of school! I tell my students every day that they are the best, and they deserve to have the best equipment available to them!
My students have been learning how one person can make a difference, such as Harriet Tubman, Abraham Lincoln, and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Please give them the opportunity to learn how people in the world around them are willing to be the difference in THEIR lives!
