Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have a class of energetic, enthusiastic, and amazing students. Our school is a Title I school where most students come from low-income or poverty-stricken homes. All of the students receive free or reduced-rate lunch. Most are English Language Learners, while some have special needs. These students come to school eager to learn every day with big smiles on their faces, regardless of their circumstances. I want to help these students in every way that I can in order for them to be successful in reaching their goal of developing their skills, and of course, have fun!
My students absolutely love Storytime!
They get so excited when I go to the bookcase from my book collection and read a new story! Hearing their laughter and amazement from reading these stories makes my heart happy! The books that I am requesting are those that my students really enjoyed listening to.
It will be displayed in our class library in which they will be readily available for me to read during our read-aloud. I am also requesting a magnetic shelf to display our favorite books! Thank you!
