Faux Candy Apples

Help me give my students paint, fake apples, clear bags, bedding and sticks to create "candy" apples.

My Project

When the seasons change and Fall arrives, foods such as candy apples, pumpkins, and candy corn become visible. I'd like my students to create fake caramel apples with nuts, sprinkles and frosting.

We are requesting paint, fake apples, sticks, clear bags and hamster bedding which looks like nuts.

Students will dip their apple into chocolate, vanilla or caramel colored paint then dip it into the bedding or the fake sprinkles. When dry, they can wrap it in the clear bags and tie it with a twist tie.

We made these a few years ago and they were an instant hit, also looked surprisingly real. We will tie this in with Fall, trees, seasons and more curriculum that the younger grades cover.
