it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our brilliant Project LIT readers are about to begin reading a new book to celebrate Black History Month, "Fast Pitch" by Nic Stone. We are so fortunate to have many more 3rd and 4th grade students than we anticipated when we ordered the books last summer. We need 25 extra copies so that each student can have her/his own copy to enjoy reading and sharing with his/her family at home.
We know that our students will be pulled into the amazing story of Shenice Lockwood, captain of the Fulton Firebirds, whose story "blends buried secrets, the Negro Leagues, and one girl's dreams of changing it up to reclaim the family name".
We would be so grateful to you for putting a book in the hands of each of our Project LIT readers!
