Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our upcoming unit, "Wearable Earth Advocacy," students will delve into the heart of environmentalism. Each session is meticulously planned to foster a deeper understanding of our planet's needs. The Cricut Explore 3 will be the cornerstone of our project, enabling students to design their own eco-centric graphics. These designs, born from their lessons on conservation and ecological impact, will then be brought to life as they learn to operate the Heat Press, imprinting their designs onto T-shirts that they will wear proudly.
The real magic happens when these T-shirts become part of our classroom's eco-campaign.
Our young advocates will wear their custom-designed shirts during our school's Earth Day celebration, turning the hallways into a gallery of their commitment to the environment. It’s here, in this moment, that their voices will shine, not just within our walls, but in the community, as they take these shirts home, spreading their message of sustainability.
What truly sets our students apart is their genuine empathy for the world around them. They don't just want to learn about how to care for the Earth—they are determined to make a difference. These materials aren't just supplies; they are the keys that unlock our students' potential to inspire change.
