My Project
I often struggle to find the words to adequately describe these students, but for this, I will try! These students are innovative, creative, risk-takers, hard workers, and so much more. They are always looking for the next challenge, and thrive in performance-task scenarios. This hydroponic farming system would be a fantastic addition to our classroom as it will challenge my student's thinking and allow us to incorporate STEM concepts into our existing curriculum.
My students are more engaged, focused, and motivated to work when the investigations are placed into their own hands.
This hydroponic farming system will allow my students to incorporate real-world scenarios into their learning. With growing human populations, increase in industrialism, and climate change impacts, alternative farming methods are becoming the visions of our future agricultural system. By funding this project, you will allow my students to study how living systems interact with their environments by comparing results of our traditional outdoor garden with that of our indoor hydroponic system, and how vertical and indoor farming can help our society as we transition into the future!
