it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are curious, hardworking, and eager to learn by doing. They come from diverse backgrounds and attend a Title I school where many face challenges outside the classroom. Despite this, they show up ready to engage, explore, and grow—especially in our agriculture class, where they get to connect hands-on learning with real-world skills. They aren’t just learning about agriculture—they’re learning teamwork, responsibility, and leadership.
I’m requesting flexible seating tools—wiggle seats, balance balls, floor cushions, chair bands, and a large carpet—to create a classroom environment that supports movement, choice, and focus.
Agriculture is an active, engaging subject, and our learning space should reflect that.
These tools will make a real difference:
Wiggle seats and balance balls help students who need to move to concentrate.
Chair bands offer a quiet way for students to release energy while staying on task.
Floor cushions and a carpet create cozy, collaborative spaces for reading, discussion, and group work.
When students feel physically comfortable and empowered to choose how they learn best, they’re more focused, confident, and ready to participate.
Flexible seating will help students take ownership of their learning. It will support students with different needs—whether they need to fidget, stretch out, or work closely with a peer. This project will transform our classroom into a space where every student feels welcomed, supported, and ready to grow.
