My Project

We are trying to add The Heroes of Olympus series, Percy Jackson graphic novel adaptations, and books 6 and 7 of Percy Jackson to our 6th-grade classroom library. These books inspire imagination and a love for reading. Written by Rick Riordan, these stories skillfully weave mythology into engaging, relatable adventures that captivate young readers and broaden their horizons.

Books such as The Heroes of Olympus act as windows, introducing students to the fascinating world of Greek and Roman mythology while exploring themes like teamwork, loyalty, and bravery.

At the same time, the Percy Jackson graphic novels act as mirrors, reflecting the challenges of friendships, identity, and personal growth that resonate deeply with students navigating their own journeys.

Including these books by Riordan in our library creates a vibrant, dynamic space that nurtures creativity, empathy, and critical thinking. These stories offer an exciting balance of adventure and reflection, encouraging students to connect with themselves and the diverse perspectives around them while fostering a lifelong appreciation for storytelling.
