We are raising money to make a field trip for 5th graders to Berkley Lawrence Museum for them to experience a unique science adventure trip. The science museum will offer a lot of precious hands-on opportunities for the kids to experience, which within our school we don't have enough resources to do it.
There are 25 students in my class and they are super smart and hardworking.
However, my school is a title one public elementary school, which means a lot of families are economic disadvantaged. All the kids get free lunch at school. Besides, many of them have never been out of Sacramento.
I'm hoping with the help of kind hearts and support from community we could make the trip and leave a wonderful memory in their childhood.
My Project
As an ancient Chinese proverb says, "Traveling 10 thousand miles is better than reading 10 thousand books."
Our annual field trip to the Lawrence Hall of Science will bring to much to our students' lives.
They will gain much knowledge about the different classifications of the various elements on the periodic table, which when combined, create the gases such as carbon dioxide, oxygen, and helium. They will also explore the properties of various gases.
For environmental science, our students will be exploring the ecosystems, life forms, and the impact of our human activities on all of these found in the Arctic.
