Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Help me in motivating my young learners to learn, grow, and soak up knowledge. We are in need of more up to date learning resources that will help students engage and have fun while learning in PreK. These great resources will help capture their attention.
In my PreK classroom, I have 24 students.
My students are eager to learn and soak up knowledge. Many of my students enjoyed coming to school and hardly ever ready to go home at times. School is the safest place for many of my students. I like to call them my smart cookies because they are determined to learn and grow. The type of school that we attend is a title one school in a low poverty area. Our school is lacking the funds to provide the resources at this present time. My students come from single parent homes.
My Project
The resources that I have requested for my students would impact learning in literacy. At my school, literacy an math are the areas that students need more support in. The listening center, counting games, and listening phones will help expose students to fun, hands on learning, and updated resources. The material selected will help change the lives of my students for the better because they will leave my classroom with 100% mastery in the pre-k standards in literacy and math. These resources will help engage students during whole group lessons, create objective driven workstations for independent learning, and will help student learning in small group intervention. All the resources selected will support learning number recognition, patterns, one to one correspondence, identify letters, letter sounds, beginning sounds, writing letters, blending sounds, rhyming words, onset, rimes, and so much more exposure.
Fantastic fun and learning will help my students academic success in reading and math.
