This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"Every word has a story," my students apply this quote to every French and English word that we come across in our studies.

These students are eager 6th through 8th graders, who attend an urban public school in New York.

Almost all students are eligible to receive free lunch. They come from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures. They enjoy learning French as a second or even a third language.

My Project

The current chalkboard in the classroom is way past its prime. It is very difficult to read from it and even more difficult to erase from. This new dry erase board will allow the students to clearly see our agenda for that day's class. It will also remind them of the unit that we are working on. Furthermore, writing on the dry erase board can be done in several different colors, which is vital in a foreign language classroom.

Your donations will allow students to view a new language in vivid colors.

This will hopefully lead to a higher interest level in the students and as a result more knowledge will be gained.
