My Project

I am an Intervention Specialist in an intensive needs classroom for students in kindergarten, first, and second grade with multiple disabilities. In addition to academics, I also work with my students on their IEP goals and objectives, life skills, and fine motor skills.

Fine motor activities are beneficial because they can help my students improve their hand-eye coordination, concentration, and overall physical and cognitive abilities.

Fine motor activities and practice help my students develop the muscles in their hands, which are essential for writing, drawing, and other tasks such as buttoning clothes, tying shoes, and using utensils. They can also be tailored to meet the specific needs of my students.

These learning manipulatives and activities will support my students in a multitude of ways. Not only will they work on and improve their fine motor skills with the puzzles, linking clips, building blocks, and peg board, but they will also improve their phonics and math skills with the abc cookies, counting cookies, snap & learn alligators, and mini number treats. The playdoh and mini craft sticks will be used for building letters, words, and numbers on our learning mats.

These materials will make learning fun, engaging, and meaningful for my students.
