This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every year, I welcome over 100 new fifth graders into my reading classroom. One area that we work on is our fluency and our understanding of the texts that we read.

With these materials, my students will be able to start from day one with color coded materials that match their current independent reading level.

With so many students rotating in and out of the classroom, by incorporating these colors, materials will always have a place to be that will be easy to find and maintain organization. Students thrive on consistency, and these materials help support them in their daily reading routines.
