This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a massive fan of using movement to teach music. I use it weekly with my students to work on concepts such as dynamics, form, style, expression, etc. Movement creates so many opportunities for me to teach, and young students need movement in their learning.

My students would love the chance to be expressive with beautiful scarf fans so that they can move to music.

They will use the scarves with recorded music to accompany their performing songs.

The rainbow scarves will be a great addition to our stories about color, and all of the scarves will provide opportunities for students to work with others as movement leaders and in groups, creating expressive movement ideas.
