My students have the ability to persevere and meet challenges that may seem overwhelming. Many of these students live in various situations with a growing need for free or reduced lunch and/or resources. Students find ways to communicate even when they do not speak the same languages. They learn that school is their resource to achieve.
They work on team building, encouragement, and leadership skills to help everyone be to successful.
No one wants to be left behind. Students find ways to engage one another, make each other stronger, and be one as a family.
My Project
Agility ladders and bean bags can help improve strength, speed, and coordination. Students will learn to control the power within their hands and feet. Students will have the ability to develop their responsiveness, focus, and communication through exercising with better efficiency and rhythm in hand-eye coordination and footwork. Physical dexterity and balance could transfer from one aspect of school activity to the next.
Exercising has been linked to increased brain activity.
When students can demonstrate their ability to have hand-eye coordination, foot coordination, stability, balance, and control with their body, they can feel that they have the potential to go in the right direction. Students can build confidence, positive communication, and teamwork that would help them to accomplish their goals.
