My Project

Audiobooks have proven to be invaluable tools in developing literacy skills, especially for young learners. The TonieBox is a children’s stereo box with accessory characters that have pre-downloaded learning songs, stories, and relaxing sounds. Children can place the character on top of the ToniesBox and touch the sides to change songs/stories.

The ToniesBox and Tonies character figures will allow my students to have a fun, interactive, and independent learning experience where they can sing, dance, read, and learn with their favorite book, movie and show characters, all well-gaining benefits from being read aloud to.

My students will gain listening skills, comprehension skills, language development, social-emotional development, independence and so much more, all while avoiding screen time in the classroom. This ToniesBox and the variety of Tonies characters will help create a meaningful learning experience in my classroom.

We have found this to be a wonderful tool to help our students who are unregulated or overstimulated calm down. I have several students in my classroom this year who need some additional support with their social and emotional help and this has proven to be a great resource for them to use. I would like to incorporate it into our strategies as well as our rewards in the classroom.
