My Students

At our Title I school with students who come from low-income or high-poverty homes, students are faced with challenges in and outside of the classroom. All of the students at our school receive free breakfast and lunch. Sometimes these meals are all that they may get for the day. Some of the students who are out our school face homelessness, live in shelters, motels, or are living with family members or friends.

Despite the obstacles that our students face, they show up to school with a smile on their faces and are excited to learn!

My Project

Family Game Night was something I always looked forward to as a kid. It was a time where the kids and adults would come together to enjoy each others company and talk about what was going on in our lives. I want to provide this opportunity to my students.

I want to be able to supply a few games, popcorn and candy for a fun Family Game Night for my students!

I will pick 2 students weekly to take home the "Family Game Night" bag. Inside the bag will be games such as Hot Potato, Jenga, Uno, or even Connect 4! You can't have a game night without some yummy snacks. Inside the bag will also be popcorn, sweet candy such as Skittles or Sour Patch Kids.!
