My students are bright learners! I teach at a Title I school where the children receive free breakfast and free lunch every single day. Many of the children come to school without enough sleep and without enough food on the table at home.
I am a pre-kindergarten teacher and it is my job to provide a safe learning environment for all of my students.
It's not my students' fault that there have been budget cuts in our state! I want to make sure that my students have the best materials possible.
My Project
This is a tough time for all of us across the nation during the pandemic. My students are only in PreK and this is their first year of school.
They have a hard time understanding what is going on.
Imagine being excited to start school for the first time and then only to start with distance learning.
These family engagement packs in language and in math will provide games for families to work on skills at home. They are also important because it provides that social emotional connection for families to work on the early math and reading skills needed for their child. I am so excited about this project and I hope you are too in helping me get this funded!
