I work for a Head Start center so all of my students are children who are ages three to five years old. They are from low-income homes, have special needs or both. We also have several students who are from other countries and speak different languages.
Currently, three different languages are spoken in my room.
All of the children come in at various levels of academic and social skills. These kids sometimes have few possessions and come to school to seek comfort, compassion, and safety. I am trying to provide a great learning environment for them. I want them to enjoy being in the classroom and love school.
My Project
These activity sets are ready-made at my students ability levels and can be sent home safely. Then they can sanitized and used by other children and their families. The materials would help my families as they continue to be their child's main teacher at home.
These games are engaging, fun, hands-on, and ready to be used to teach skills my students may be missing out on because we have yet to have one day of in person instruction for my students.
These items would be a tremendous asset for my classroom.
