My Students
My students are from a small, rural community. Many students are minorities that struggle with coming up with needed art supplies. During this pandemic, students are not allowed to share supplies, all supplies need to be that of each individual student.
Our rural school has limited funds for supplies.
I would like to supply those students that do not have funds provided by parents.
My Project
Most of our projects have been things they create with paper, pencil, or watercolors however, not all students thrive using paper, pencil, and paint. Many enjoy hands-on projects. These supplies will help them individually create animal pillows and weaving projects. The felt will allow them to make either animal or monster pillows. They will need the needles to sew and decorate the pillows. We can also use the needles to complete some weaving projects which we have the yarn to do already. Art projects provide a needed break from the intense academic expectations.
