This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I am an integrated teacher in a Pre-school in Franklin Park New Jersey. I teach a diverse group of students who are bused in on a daily basis. We have limited funding for trips and learning activities.

My students come to school ready to learn each day and are always excited to learn new concepts.

I provide them with engaging hands-on, minds-on learning activities on a daily basis. Hopefully through helping to fund our projects, we can help to further support these students in their learning.

My Project

I am putting in this project to get a variety of craft and art resources for my students. I would like to get my students Thanksgiving Turkey cutouts, Fall leaves to create a three dimensional picture, as they learn about the harvest season. I would also appreciate your contributions in order to get more wood pieces for our art sculptures, as I engage my preschool students in a variety of fine motor and creative learning activities. I believe that providing them with these resources will engage them in the visual and creative art component of our curriculum and will also help them to further develop their fine motor and critical thinking skills.
