Help me give my students additional books to enhance and enrich the curriculum through independent reading. These titles will pair perfectly with our unit that focuses on WWII and Elie Wiesel's "Night."

My Students
We are a melting pot of cultures and abilities, which is why I love teaching here. My students are engaging in independent reading both in class and at home to enrich and enhance the curriculum we follow. They range in ability from low readers to college-ready, and all of them are avidly seeking new things to read all the time. Many of them are athletes, singers, actors and scholars.
What I love most about my students is that they make every day interesting and different from the day before.
It's never boring teaching teenagers, and I am thankful for the opportunity to enhance their learning.
My Project
Book choice is extremely important to keep students interested in reading. Through our core texts, students are learning strategies to engage and get the most out of their reading. Independent reading strengthens and supports those strategies, and allowing students to choose from a wide variety of texts will better ensure that each student can find something to read that is at their level of interest and ability. The titles I have selected for this project will help to boost our classroom library and align with one of our major units focusing on Elie Wiesel's story of survival during the Holocaust.
