Help me give my students Crayola Model Magic for Fall 2021 clay creations!
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. B.P.'s classroom raised $285
This project is fully funded
My Students
My students are creative, caring, and eager to learn. Although my students come from different backgrounds, many of them face struggles stemming from institutional racism and poverty. These struggles not only make distance learning difficult, but make having consistent access to basic art supplies extremely difficult for parents and caregivers.
My Project
My students were not given many opportunities to create 3-D artworks this year due to virtual learning, and have been given no opportunities to work with ceramics. Squishing, pulling, rolling, squeezing, and pushing clay helps our younger students builds hand eye coordination and muscle dexterity. This is most important for our youngest learners as they begin to write letters, words, and create drawings.
Model Magic is a great material to introduce basic ceramic concepts, and it helps children to feel successful before they move onto their final clay creations.
I would love to give my K-1st grade students the opportunity to practice ceramics with Crayola Model Magic before we move onto clay.
