300 artist sketchbooks will be given to all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. Students will explore a series of sketchbook prompts throughout the school year that will not only teach art education fundamentals, but will more importantly encourage students to process their experience distance learning in the year 2020. Because students will not have access to paint, ceramics, fibers, or printmaking, having a real artist sketchbook will help students feel like they are still engaging in real art-making practices while working from home. Basic drawing and writing supplies will be supplied by my school district, and I will still be working with students online and through Google Classroom. Although this year will be be very different, I am still so excited to work with my AMAZING kiddos and help them put their imaginations into color, shape, and line on paper. Thank you.
