My Project

I teach at a Prek-5th grade Title 1 school in a small town in a rural area of North Carolina. Sixty-six percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Our students are a community of diverse learners who are hardworking, inquisitive, and eager to learn about the world in which they live.

Food insecurity is on the rise, and no student should have to worry about where or when they will get their next meal or snack.

I am requesting food items to support our students who face food insecurity.

When stomachs are full, it is easier for students to concentrate.This project will provide snacks at school for students who need them. I would love to help eliminate food insecurity. Thank you for considering my project. I greatly appreciate any donations and support of my school.
