Falcon Closet: A Dignified Student Resource Center

Help me give my students a dignified shopping experience for our students in need, we are seeking a safe, clean, and dry space to store essential items such as uniforms, coats, and school supplies.

My Project

The Falcon Closet is an initiative designed to provide students at Halls Ferry Intermediate School with access to essential clothing items, uniforms, coats, and school supplies in a way that preserves dignity, promotes confidence, and supports academic success. Our goal is to create a safe, organized, and welcoming space where students in need can select the items they require in a respectful and private environment—what we call a dignified shopping experience.

To bring this vision to life, we are seeking the following essential items:

Storage Bins: These will help us neatly categorize and safely store supplies such as socks, toiletries, school materials, and seasonal accessories. Clear, labeled bins will allow us to easily manage inventory and quickly locate needed items.

Clothing Rack: A sturdy clothing rack will allow us to display uniforms, jackets, and other hanging garments in an organized and accessible manner, mimicking the feel of a real shopping experience and helping students browse with ease.

Hangers: Hangers are crucial for keeping clothing wrinkle-free, presentable, and ready to wear. They also help maintain the professional and respectful presentation of the items offered.

By organizing the Falcon Closet with care and intentionality, we can empower students to meet their basic needs without shame or stigma, helping them focus on what matters most—their education and well-being.
