My Project
My Kindergarten students love science. They enjoy learning new things about the world around them and how it all works. Our classroom is a safe place for them to explore new skills and develop new strategies that will continue to expand for the rest of their school careers. They get to work in a whole class setting, small groups, and even independently. Each day they come to school ready to learn and to succeed at their school tasks.
These Fairytale STEM kits will help my students connect literacy, through favorite books and stories, to hands-on STEM projects.
They will get to help the Three Little Pigs build safe houses and the Three Billy Goats Gruff cross over a sturdy bridge. They will connect to their favorite stories in a new way while solving problems with their Kindergarten science buddies.
Through hands-on learning, young students can explore the world around them and engage with different learning styles. The science materials will also encourage them to work with others, learn to share, and even take turns. These are very important skills for Kindergarten students.
