My Students

I teach in a K-2 school in Alabama where 100 percent of students receive free lunch. My students work hard to be great leaders in our school. They love doing hands-on activities and working in collaborative groups to solve problems and create projects. My class is a group of 25 students that are energetic explorers and need engaging activities! They come to school every day ready to learn, and learning truly excites them!

My goal is to give my students the best school experience that I possibly can, to foster a love of life and learning!

My class consists of students with different backgrounds and various educational needs. They enjoy hands-on learning, exploring different learning tools, and taking in everything that kindergarten has to offer. They love movement and discovery.

My Project

Fairness, diversity, and empathy are important for everyone. In our technology driven world some of the most basic and important skills are often not given enough attention and thought.

Kindergarten students need to be taught how to be fair, how to accept others that are different, and how to show and develop empathy.

I have chosen books that will spark conversations within my classroom to give students the language and vocabulary to be accepting of others who may think, look, or act in the same ways.

I want my students to be world changers and I know that it is imperative that I give them the knowledge and acceptance to do that.
