Hello all!
My name is Annette Magro ,and I am a pediatric occupational therapist working in Birmingham City Schools!
Because we are a related service, we do not get many funds for materials to use to help our kiddos become more independent in their handwriting, visual motor, self-care, and sensory processing needs. Donations of these items will go to lower-income students who otherwise may not have the exposure to these items to support their independence in the academic setting. My students love arts and crafts and these activities support hand strength and fine motor skills that ultimately support handwriting - a large need for a lot of my students. In addition, some of these items support sensory regulation so that students can participate in their classrooms with their peers and not be excluded from t he general educational setting. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated by all of my students as they are hard-working and determined to improve their skills in occupational therapy!
