Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in a Title I school, where 100% of the students at my school qualify and receive free lunch. My students live in a vibrant and diverse but poor neighborhood. The population consists mainly of English language learners with an influx of displaced students that have lost everything and are starting new lives in a new country.

My scholars are incredible students who, despite their economic and language barriers, are still extremely motivated.

In my classroom, their socioeconomic and language levels are not important. I believe in them and their success.

My Project

These resources are going to help me to offer my students a quality education amidst these unprecedented times and through the distance.

Due to this pandemic, our classroom dynamic has drastically changed.

My students and I will be will be learning together virtually. The stylus will help my students at home to be able to write on their touchscreen tablets. The fidget toys will let them be able to move a bit without being a distraction, even if its just their fingers. The table will allow me to raise the laptop so that they can see my face at any angle! Finally, the teacherspayteachers giftcard will allow me to buy digital interactive center activities for them to enjoy in our new virtual classroom.

Thank you for your support in making this transition from in person to virtual learning as seamless as possible. We are staying home to be safe, but our level of education and our standards should not be affected because of it.
