Face Shields for Safety!

Help me give my students face shields to help in protecting from and minimizing the spread of COVID-19.

My Students

My students are so young and curious. I teach the age range of 3-5 year old students with autism. They are always eager to learn and interact.

School should be an environment where you learn and you feel safe while learning!

Ninety-three percent of our students qualify for free and reduced-price lunch and 56% of our student population is ESOL. Many of my students' parents are hardworking, undocumented immigrants who want their children to get the best education possible in a safe environment. Many of parents/guardians/care givers did not receive a proper education in their native countries. The families and students are always marveled by what they are able to learn and make progress on!

My Project

With students returning to school soon, they need to not only feel safe but be safe.

The pandemic has not been easy on anyone and the face shields will provide my students with an extra layer of protection in the school.

Parents/students will be a little more at ease knowing the face shields will be used on a daily basis.

While students are busy learning in school, they will have that extra layer of protection against COVID-19. The usage of the mask will allow the students to be seen and heard in class while instruction is given from a safe distance from each other as well as the teacher.
