Face 2 Face Learners Need Technology Too

My Students

This school year, I have been given the opportunity to help my 4th-grade students grow academically. My students are a mixture of many ethnic backgrounds, low-income students, as well as students with academic challenges such as dyslexia. I also have Gifted and Talented students in my class that I am determined to properly challenge.

My Project

My students have chosen to return to school and receive face to face learning. Unfortunately, classroom Chromebooks have been distributed out to students who need devices at home. Although this is wonderful for at-home learners, my face to face learners are missing out on technology opportunities. They deserve the right to be creative using technology too. Some students need devices to help with math and reading. Some students excel more on a device than on paper. Technology is our future.

I will give all my students technology time during math and reading rotations.

The devices will be used to write and illustrate essays. Our district is constantly providing teachers with more ideas on how to use technology with students. These opportunities will be lost if my classroom does not have any devices to use.
