Wow!, where do I even start? This year has held so many new adventures and growth for each student. My students absolutely love it when we change things up and make things our own. It can be with projects, math activities, reading groups- you name it and they love it when we are able to try something a little bit different. Every personality is very different, which makes each day a surprise. With these students we see a need for attention and constant positive encouragement. The county of our school district has been ranked as one of the lowest socioeconomic school districts in the state. This opens up our eyes to a lot of need for improved classroom management, curriculum, and other materials. These students are so excited when we try something new and different because they are not able to always do those different and fun things at home. I strive to provide each student with a unique experience at school so that they can have a great school experience and have a desire to become life-long learners.

Hello! My 5th grade class is so excited to see if we can raise enough money to provide a flexible seating environment for our classroom!
Having a classroom that has a positive learning environment could dramatically change how my students would look at learning everyday.
I have a strong desire to make sure all students are not only getting what they really need at school academically, but also getting what they need socially and emotionally. I've read a lot of articles, and spoken with teachers who have incorporated flexible seating with tools like excercise balls and floor cushions for their students. They have stated how well the students have adjusted to learning with flexible seating. This has been really inspiring to hear about how a creative learning space can really transform students and focusing on learning.
I have an extremely diverse class this year and their needs could be met in so many different ways with flexible seating. I have told each of my students about the possibility of flexible seating and they have had some great input! Please consider making a donation for flexible seating.
