Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting a variety of supplies that we use daily in first grade. Students are given six tickets every Monday. At the end of the week, students put their tickets in a jar. I select a few students who earn prizes each Friday. Students who complete work and follow class and school rules will keep their tickets. Students who do not follow class rules or who do not complete work may loose a ticket. This is an incentive for students to try their best and to follow class rules. I also allow students to collect stickers in their sticker books. I have requested a variety of stickers to use as incentives.

Students use headphones when completing math and reading assignments on their Chromebooks.

In case a headset stops working, I like to replace them to keep the room quiet so everyone can concentrate.

All students get wiggly sometimes. For these times, sensory items such as the bubble poppers can help students wiggle less and focus on their work.

Finally, I have requested rubber finger tips, staple remover, and bulldog clips to organize student work as I prepare for daily lessons.
